The latest Israeli aggression deepens the humanitarian crisis in the blockaded Gaza Strip

Conference of the Palestinians in Europe is deeply concerned about the blatant aggression against the Gaza Strip by the Israeli war machine and endangering the lives of more than two million people due to the brutal bombardment of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation is trying to cover its crimes against the Palestinians under flimsy pretexts and market them to the international public opinion, as it is targeting services and media facilities and bombing towers in densely populated areas.

The Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been suffering for more than 12 years due to the successive attacks and the blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation that turned Gaza into an open prison. At the time the Palestinians were waiting for an end for their suffering, the Israeli army ignited a new crisis, where the Israeli warplanes began to bomb many areas in the Gaza Strip neglecting all the international and regional efforts to stop the repeated attacks on Gaza. It also neglected the international efforts to ease the procedures of the basic materials entry and the movement of passengers through the borders under the control of the Israeli authorities.

In this context, Conference of Palestinians in Europe reiterates its call to the decision-makers in the European Union and the European Parliament members to stand up to their political, legal and moral responsibilities towards international peace and security.

The Conference also calls for the prosecution of the Israeli occupation leaders and treating them as war criminals, putting their names on the blacklists of Europe and banning them from entering their countries. We also call on for the activation of a comprehensive boycott of the occupation and its isolation on the widest scale.

The Conference of the Palestinians in Europe salutes the determination of the Palestinian people to have their freedom and dignity in a peaceful and civilized manner through the March of Return that has been going on for months. The conference also affirms the right of our people to the peaceful expression and demonstration guaranteed by international legitimacy until their legitimate demands are fulfilled in ending the siege and occupation and stopping the aggression.
